All the love and gratitude This winter solstice and international yoga day

Ahhh could this be one of my favourite days of the year? I think it is…as the southern hemisphere shivers through a wintry day and people remind one another that ‘it’s chilly out there’ it’s also a day today to embrace the serene winter vibes, the yin like energy of the winter solstice and to my delight celebrate and honour the practice of yoga on this International Yoga Day.

Today is a time for reflection and gratitude. An opportunity to pause, immerse yourself in nature (yep, even if it’s chilly outside 😉) and be still.

Nature reminds us of the beauty of patience, of stillness and invites introspection. As the longest night of the year unfolds, it symbolizes the importance of finding light within ourselves amidst the darkness. It encourages us to turn inward, nurturing our spirits, and seeking inner peace. If you have been thinking of leaning into the goodness offered by a yoga practice, today might just be the very best day to begin, yoga invites us to practice this every time we show up, enabling us to connect with our inner light and embrace the stillness within, aligning our minds, bodies, and souls and finding peace even in small ways - every day.

Today I am grateful.

This gratitude extends beyond the season, beyond the mat, beyond the practice; creating a ripple effect of positivity and compassion.

Today, at the convergence of International Yoga Day and the Winter Solstice, it is my hope that you find your own inner light, that you connect to your own gratitude - if we do this together we are actively amplifying the energy of gratitude.

We begin to radiate kindness, and compassion towards ourselves and others.

May this International Yoga Day and Winter Solstice be a reminder of the light that resides within you. Let it illuminate your path with self-discovery and love.

Happy International Yoga Day and happy Winter Solstice!
