Hello, it is so nice to have you here,
I am the owner of Glimmer Yoga, based in the beautiful South West region of Western Australia, and I’m on a mission to eliminate hustle, elevate play and normalise rest through the practice of functional, fascia based yoga and meditation.
Yoga has been a part of my life since before I can remember, my first yoga teacher was my mum, I would copy her on our lounge room floor and then stare endlessly at the beautiful images of yoga practitioners in the single yoga book we had in our house. She has always been my yoga number one yoga teacher off the mat too - showing me through her practice, the power and joy of yoga and how it just makes sense.
I do not remember a life without yoga, even as a teenager when I wasn’t so interested in the practice (thinking it was just a weird exercise thing mums did) I still unknowingly practiced the elements of yoga that were just part of my life!
After vowing that yoga would always just be ‘a me time thing’ and that I would never teach, venturing down pathways of performing arts, events management, psychology and mental health, community engagement and communications…here I am, finally walking this path, teaching yoga, embedding the practical skills and knowledge from life before teaching yoga and finding so much joy in sharing my love for this practice with you.
With a dodgy spine, a body that has endured the wonderful joy (and intensity) of bringing four babies into this world, an insatiable need to DO and LEARN ALL THE THINGS, life can get very hustle centred, for me, the practice of yoga is the most powerful tool I have in my toolkit. As science catches up and we learn more and more about the role of fascia in movement and mental health it is an exciting time to be on this journey with you.
All my offerings; courses, workshops and classes, centre around helping you to rediscover how deep rest and playful curiosity can help you to understand and nourish your nervous system, taking you out of chronic stress, chronic pain and discomfort so that you can bring your best self to every aspect of your life.
It is an honour and a pleasure to walk this path with you.
