The practice of Yoga and meditation has long held the tools and resources that help to reduce stress and support the nervous system, improve physical health, improve energy and overall wellbeing. Unfortunately, oftentimes even the practice of yoga has succumbed to the enticing pull of ‘sleep when I’m dead’ hustle culture, with the ‘fitness’ element of yoga dominating what we know and understand yoga to be. Or we take it to the other extreme, expecting yoga to be able to ‘heal’ us without really understanding your own unique needs.

I am Kerry Shaw, founder of Glimmer Yoga. Yoga teacher and Yoga Therapist. As someone who once thought hustle was ‘normal’ and experiencing chronic pain, stress and burnout as a result; as well as witnessing far too many people I love go through the same, I am now committed to my mission to:

Yoga Therapy

Yoga Therapy sessions are offered online or in person (in person South West - Perth WA). Yoga Therapy is a tailored approach supporting you with your unique health and wellbeing needs and goals. Yoga Therapy works with the whole self combining yogic wisdom, tools and resources with modern day medical science to meet you where you are at and bring you relief from suffering. We work closely with your allied health specialists (physiotherapists, psychologist etc) too, ensuring you receive the holistic care and support you need to help eliminate chronic pain, stress and suffering; and find sustainable health and wellbeing.
A minimum of 3 sessions (including the initial consult) is the required commitment. You can choose to continue with weekly or fortnightly sessions or re-book at anytime your goals or needs change. initial health history and goals questionnaire, a postural and range of motion assessment and work with Kerry to develop a realistic and achievable plan. Your follow up sessions can be booked as needed or book a block of 6 sessions to honour your commitment to your yoga journey (discounts apply when you book 6 sessions, sessions must be used within a 3 month time frame).
Yoga Therapy is for you if you are experiencing chronic symptoms (stress, anxiety, pain), recovering or rebuilding following an injury or just want to deepen your own yoga practice and knowledge.
Kerry is a Yoga Therapist who specialises in working with chronic pain, stress, burnout and the nervous system. She is trained in working with the fascia to release myofascial pain through the practice of Myoyin yoga, fascia focused flows and nervous system support, which is intrinsically linked to our physical and emotional bodies. Exploring these practices in a therapeutic setting ensures you are able to take a deeper dive into understanding and empowering yourself to support your own nervous system in a safe and supported environment with a plan and approach that it unique to you.

Private session - as needs/one off: $85 (individual); $150/$75pp (couples)
Private session 6 session package: $80 (individual); $140/$70pp (couples)

Clinical Group Yoga Therapy

Clinical Yoga Therapy group sessions are an affordable alternative option to ongoing 1:1 sessions.
Once you have completed your initial yoga therapy consult and follow up sessions (x2) you have the option to move into a clinical group class where you are supported by your yoga therapist to work on your tailored yoga therapy plan and share some elements of the yoga practice (pranayama, meditation) with the group.
Class sizes are kept small to ensure you are receiving the best support form your yoga therapist and have your questions answered as we work through your program together.
Please note these classes are usually scheduled in blocks, during the school terms (WA school holiday dates apply). Sessions will be promoted when available.
Clinical Group yoga will be provided in person in the South West, Western Australia and online.
*To be eligible to attend these sessions it is a requirement that you have completed the initial assessment and 2x follow up sessions)
